Chew Valley Squash Club was honoured to be congratulated by the World No. 1, Mohamed Elshorbagy, at the unveiling of the its Wall of Fame which charts the Club's legacy since 1975.

Elshorbagy, who was originally scheduled to be at the unveiling, was unfortunately unable to attend and instead sent a video message, in which he said:

“Good evening fellow squash players. I'm really sorry I can't be with you this evening to see the celebration for presenting the squash Wall of Fame in Chew Valley Squash Club. It always gives a great buzz when you see your name in any sport, whether a squash player or any other sport, when your name is up there, right up there, and it always gives a buzz, so congratulations to all the people who have their name there. Thank you for inviting me to be part of this evening, and enjoy your celebration, and I really hope your club goes from strength to strength. Enjoy your evening."

The Wall of Fame celebrates all of CVSC's tournaments since it was founded in 1975 up to the present day. The winners of all the Club’s various competitions, the Boucher Cup and Plate, the Robson Handicap, the Butcombe Race of Champions, the League Cup, the Ladies' Cup and the Toman Junior Cup are all honoured on plaques at the Club.
